The Bay County Chamber of Commerce is seeking an Information Specialist.
This position will
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Handle all incoming telephone calls. Direct visitors to various departments and meetings in the Chamber. Answer mail and email daily. Keep records of various types of inquiries. Sort and distribute all incoming mail and process outgoing mail. Maintain the Chamber Calendar and update weekly. Maintain the Community Calendar and update daily submissions by community. Coordinate use of meeting rooms by members. Assist with keeping the membership database updated. Prepare daily deposit of any funds received. Keep lobby brochure racks filled and updated with only current members. Handle all incoming deliveries and route to appropriate departments. Keep the lobby area clean. Assist with administrative responsibilities of departments as necessary. MINIMUM SKILLS/EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
Skills: Good computer knowledge to include Microsoft Word and Excel, great organizational skills and great people skills.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Three years’ experience in a related administrative position.
The Bay County Chamber of Commerce offers an excellent benefits package including 100% paid health insurance for the employee, 401k retirement plan, along with paid holidays, vacation and sick leave. Salary range is $21,000-$23,000 DOE.
