Job Description:
The ED Tech is responsible for the direct and indirect care of patients under the direction of the nurse.The position requires knowledge of both department and hospital policies and procedures relevant to the delivery of patient care. This position requires knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical technology as it relates to emergency nursing. The ability to use the hospital’s information system is required along with the ability to communicate information in a written and auditory fashion. The ability to interact with the public and medical staff is also required. The ability to retrieve, communicate, or otherwise present information in a written, auditory, or visual fashion is essential. The primary method to express or exchange ideas is through the spoken word. Written, telephone, and manual dexterity skills are required for the position.
