Purpose of the job:
Assess and manage customer credit risk to minimize working capital and bad debts while supporting business with appropriate credit extension. Propose and implement policies, procedures and actions that enhance business opportunities. Monitor assigned portfolio using relevant criteria (segment, product, region, etc.) for trending and benchmarking.

The Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for assessing the risk of default of each customer and/or customer group. The role has to take into account:
Guidance on INEOS Styrolution’s risk appetite given by the Global Head of Credit Risk Management and Mexico regulations
The customer relationship and the importance for the business
The structure of the credit portfolio
The quality of information provided by the sales team
Responsibilities :
•Independent credit risk management of assigned customer portfolio•Perform high quality credit risk analysis of customers by analyzing credit data using external and internal information sources•Monitor trends and model customers/groups/segments within portfolio to proactively reduce risk exposure and prevent bad debts•Regional responsibilities: daily bank statement review, account reconciliations, maintenance of invoices via customer portals, portal invoice management Edicom), generate account statements as required, country audit requests, SAT requirements, other duties are required.•Maintain credit master data in SAP •Manage the release of blocked orders, obtaining approvals as required•Direct contact with high risk or important exposure customers within the portfolio•Monitor overdue invoices and disputed items and support with collections and/or negotiations as required•Management of the Credit/Sales interface, finding solutions for conflicting interests•Monitor high risk countries and propose risk mitigation action plans•Project management – lead projects regarding improvements of processes and procedures, especially for the development of Credit automation•Weekly, monthly and/or quarterly reporting•Comply and enforce INEOS Styrolution responsibilities, authorities and policies, including, but not limited, to:
ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO TS 17025, IATF 16949, GMP, Code of Conduct, SHE Policy, Environmental Policy, Quality Policy, Golden Rules, 20 Safety Manangement Principles, Mexican Regulations (SAT).
Required profile:
A Senior Credit Analyst must have very strong skills/competencies in the following areas:
•Fundamental credit risk analysis•Excellent communication with customers and Account Managers/Sales Directors•Ability and willingness to negotiate and make credit decisions
Level of education & Knowledge:
Bachelor education level in related field: finance, business administration
Experience managing a diverse customer portfolio – different industries, countries, cultures
Fluent in English
Experience in general:
Minimum 4 years of experience in a multinational corporate or financial institution with focus on credit risk management
Technical skills:
Advanced analytical skills and abilities to abstract
Good IT skills (MS Office – mainly Excel, SAP, Power BI)
Strong understanding of financial information received from external sources and customers (financial statements); Allows for full evaluation of a customer’s business and enables judgment of customer value vs. risk
