Financial Planning & Analysis Associate - Fort Lauderdale

Seeking an opportunity to join a fast growing company to work with the CFO on a daily basis as well alongside various business units such as finance, accounting, and treasury? Financial services company is in search of a hybrid accountant / FP&A associate to be responsible for budgeting & planning, financial modeling, forecasing, and other financial analysis as well as bookkeeping and journal entries.

Day in the life:
• Annual budgeting and planning process.
• Ownership of management company from soup to nuts from paying invoices to keeping track of all the revenue and expense items; booking entries into QuickBooks
• Helping with the budgeting and planning process
• Ability to build and maintain strong operating processes that are scalable
• Prepare financial analysis, actual vs budget results, and materials for management committee
• Build and maintain periodic forecasts and cash flow analysis
• Work alongside Accounting team on monthly/quarterly close process
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
• Strong analytical skills; advanced proficiency with Excel

Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in finance / accounting or related field
•4 - 5+ years of experience working in financial, accounting, and analytical roles – financial services or hedge fund experience a plus
•Solid understanding of GAAP – experience using accounting software
•Effective written and verbal communication skills.
•Team oriented personality
•Hand ons, roll up your sleeves
•Detail and process oriented
